I think as Americans we somehow feel entitled to safety. Seeing a column of smoke flying towards our neighborhood made the residents of the Genovese household raise an eyebrow, but it wasn't until we saw actual flames that we started to panic.
This isn't our car, it belongs to a neighbor.
The fire stopped across the street from our property.
Baby Gia's Thanksgiving Photoshoot
Marco, Xela, Baby Gia, Simon, and I blasted out of the gravel driveway in the Ultimate Driving Machine to snag some pictures of Marco's cute little family after an amazing thanksgiving dinner. Things were a bit rushed, but there were a few keepers I think. Check them out here!

Photography for The Arbiter
The photographs I took for the Arbiter earlier this year are up! Most of the work I had at BSU's paper was photographing woman's basketball, track, tennis and rugby, but I had the opportunity to shoot events and photoillustrations as well. Good times.

Junior Olympics
I just found an old Picasa album of the shots I took during the Junior Olympics in March 2008! This is kind of old news, but it was a fun shoot...

Emerald's Fall Portraits
I took these pictures of my niece last week, just before the wind ripped most of the leaves off the trees a few days later. If only Emerald was as cooperative as she was photogenic!
Check out the Picasa album!

Magic Hour Landscapes
These landscape shots in this Picasa album all have one thing in common: they were all taken during "magic hour" when the light was just ceasing to be directional - usually in the last seconds before sunset, or right after sunset. I love these conditions!

A Time Lapse of the Stars From My Back Porch
Canon's Eos utility works great for doing timelapses - the only real hinderance is the duration of your batteries. Mine only lasted about 45 minutes, so my timelapse is pretty short. The great thing is that the application controls your camera and takes the photographs at perfectly timed intervals. I'm gonna have to try this again if I get a battery grip....
